The island boasts a coastline of breathtaking beauty speckled with secret spots as yet unspoiled by the violent hands of humans.

By far, the most important natural Sicilian attraction is magnificent Mount Etna which dominates eastern Sicily. Etna is the largest and highest, active volcano in Europe. The height of its summit (approx. 3350 meters) increases with each eruption, and over the centuries several lava flows have even reached the coast. Over 1200 square meters of Etna's surface is covered with solidified lava. This unique volcano has enchanted ancient and modern writers, and was symbolically supernatural to the Greek, Latin and Norman people. It has thrived and shaped the east side of this island for centuries and it attracts adventurers from around the globe.

We pride ourselves in offering hikes, treks and eco-tours, generally not offered by travel agencies. In our Etna program, led by a geologist, hikers are introduced to the flora and fauna at each level while ascending the sloped surface of the volcano.

A language is not the result of a set of grammar rules. A language is the result of a culture and its traditions, its history, its life style and its places.
