Scholarship and financial aid for Italian language courses.
Babilonia – Center for Italian Language and Culture – awards a limited number of scholarships and financial aid to outstanding students to support their Italian Studies in Italy. Scholarships may be used for Semester Programs, January Winter Break Programs or Summer Programs in Sicily, Italy. Awards are based on academic merit and genuine interest in learning the Italian language. No previous Italian language study is required.
Scholarships range from 250 Euro for Two Week Programs to 500 – 1000 Euro for Semester Programs and Four to Eight Week Programs.
October 1 for January Programs and Spring Semester Programs
March 1 for Summer Programs and Summer Semester Programs
May 1 for Fall Semester Programs
Criteria for Eligibility:
- Student must be enrolling as an independent student (not part of a university or high school group program).
- Student must be enrolled in Italian language course (s) within a January, Summer or Semester Program.
- Students must be enrolled in a U.S. university and have a 2.75 or equivalent GPA.
- Student must be 18 years of age by start of program.
Completed online application and submission of two teacher recommendations required by appropriate deadline.
